(Luminous)

“Luminous, bhikkhus, is the mind, but it is defiled by incoming defilements.”

“Luminous, bhikkhus, is the mind, and it is freed from incoming defilements.”

“Luminous, bhikkhus, is the mind, but it is defiled by incoming defilements. The uninstructed worldly person does not understand this as it really is; therefore I say that for the uninstructed worldly person there is no development of the mind.”

“Luminous, bhikkhus, is the mind, and it is freed from incoming defilements. The well-instructed disciple of the noble ones understands this as it really is; therefore I say that for the well-instructed disciple of the noble ones there is development of the mind.”
